BOUGHT AND SOLD
we roll our sleeves up try try try try to do it again I thought you’d come through oh I sigh wake up do it again we all are in debt to something or someone
so where you goin’ when you fall? do you believe in anything at all? I’d like to have known you when you were seventeen the weight of the world didn’t mean a thing
so where do you go when you feel bought and sold? where do you go in the end, oh the end?
we roll our sleeves up try try try try to do it again I thought you’d come through oh I sigh wake up do it again we all are in debt to something or someone
so where you goin’ when you fall? do you believe in anything at all? when you said “I need you”, well who was on the scene? but we knew your words didn’t mean a thing
so where do you go, uh oh when you feel so sold?
are we wasting time? do you think it up? what do you tell your mind when it’s made up?
you’ve gotta slow down before you move on you’ve gotta slow down before you fall asleep
we breathe the air to keep from sinking “we’ve seen it all,” we said, we said

COLORS COLLAPSE antenna stretched above the green disguise I wanted the number to your numbers guy they’re tracing hexagons beyond the clouds the countdown we can’t count on cancels out
this part of me close to collapse like color to a photograph the promise of an early dawn a flash of light to focus on
intentions tethered to the rising tide the forcefield we can’t feel, the great divide still searching for perfect words to telecast time dilation in relation to the station of our past
this part of me close to collapse like color to a photograph a promise of an early dawn a flash of light to focus on a while
we never sigh. we never roar we never had enough to want some more paint the sky to touch the shore we haven’t had enough to want for more
and here we are a falling star against the black safe and sound on the ground, we’re pushing back

Zero Return 02:03
ZERO RETURN
make your mistakes it’s a short life bruises add up stay out all night yeah yeah yeah yeah off that ghost goes yeah yeah yeah yeah back to zero
we die, but in death, we rest our eyes from flames that burn too bright and those left must question why and choke down goodbye
rewind the tape and splice me in enter / escape rush in again yeah yeah yeah yeah off that ghost goes yeah yeah yeah yeah back to zero
we die, but in death, we rest our eyes from flames that burn too bright and those left must question why and choke down goodbye
yeah yeah yeah yeah off he goes yeah yeah yeah yeah oh oh no yeah yeah yeah yeah

HANDWRITING POLICE
oh the effect of gravity we are connected, you and me we adore so temporary like the sun we move on and on
we write problems down the signals get crossed out are we wasting time I will never come down you will never calm down time to let me calm down calm down
a reassessment of everything broadcast transmissions lost or so it seems here’s a story, “it’s temporary” lessons learned and we move on and on
we write problems down the signals get crossed out are we wasting time I will never come down you will never calm down time to let me
you’d say we’re not the same but I know that we are
the way that the sun breaks the day the way that the sun…
sounds the alarm wake up everyone we are unarmed
you’d say we’re not the same but I know that we are

FAKING THE VAPORS mercury and bloodletters erase the pain hollow points of bird feathers render us wings we decelerate. yeah we drift for days gasping for formaldehyde, these vapors fade
fever breaks still, we ache for shiver and shake
cut against the grain distance keeping us estranged
fever breaks still, we ache vapors fade still, we ache for shiver and shake
these are the systems we devised these are the humors we abide these are the symptoms we design these are the symptoms we survive
we are faking the vapors now
x marks the spot, touch your tongue to the paper dot you clench your teeth before another drop drops experience, you tend to get a sense of it you never caught the scent of the extent of it
fever breaks still, we ache vapors fade still, we ache for shiver and shake

Mind The Gap 03:25
MIND THE GAP
my son, it’s time to tell you what you’re soon to find out this world is not the oyster that the pearl sings about you will begin to turn into things you hated
there’s books and guides to tell you how you should live your life still, much will be decided with the roll of the dice between the lines, you will find they’re overrated
cause it’s easy to believe when there’s a wind at your back but winds will turn into knives at the drop of a hat currents you know will not flow the way you wanted
the seas will all rise up against the bays and the sounds and every day we’re losing more ground faced with the same, will you still remain undaunted
this life’s not summed in metaphors no one can tell you what it’s for there’s this then nothing more you’re not the future, you’re just young don’t try to shape the age that comes just try and have some fun
my father, you can’t teach me what I already know stop calling out the endings at the start of the show you can’t predict every twist that life comes up with  cause I don’t make these waves just to see you get mad and they won’t break the way that you have
mind the gap this generation casts their curses back mind the gap we grow up too fast not built to last
we can, but I bet we’ll break before we bend in the end, we’ll say we saved them all
this life’s not summed in metaphors no one can tell you what it’s for there’s this then nothing more you’re not the future, you’re just young don’t try to shape the age that comes just try and have some fun oh my son

LONG AND GONE I’m no stranger to regret there’s much that I’m not over yet an essay on things not to say if I ever want to sleep again I don’t see any reason to pretend this isn’t the end I won’t blame you for leaving if you don’t blame me for wanting you dead
we thought we had it all along but we had it wrong we saw a chance and we took a shot it was long and gone are the days that we could not stay away and we find our lives proceeding much the same
keeping a list in my head I must remember to forget those memories, they get in the way of getting through another day I don’t see any reason to  (and I’m so sick of apathy) pretend this isn’t the end I won’t blame you for leaving  (I'm losing track of losing sleep) if you don’t blame me for wanting you dead (and cycling through sentences not to say)
we thought we had it all along but we had it wrong we saw a chance and we took a shot it was long and gone are the days that we could not stay away and we find out nothing’s changed
and I will hold this note until this feeling goes away

Clear Coasts 03:07

CLEAR COASTS
up against the infinite the sunny side / the dark abyss and these paralyzing odds left unchecked the bending bow that waves create the crashing down / the breakers break out of my depth / catch a breath / hesitate
this cynicism sets you off out here the coast is clear is this on? yeah, it’s on. between the tickle and the cough three cheers for the insincere  and we carry on as if the end’s not near
the king, the crown, so pomp and proud these arms surround the heady crowd are they on task to protect or collect? the wrinkles of experience the lessons learned that time imprints I caught a glimpse in the black staring back
this cynicism sets you off out here the coast is clear is this on? yeah, it’s on. between the tickle and the cough three cheers for the insincere  and we carry on as if the end’s not near
and it’s here yeah, it’s here
these storms inform our warmest approach these stones intone our own clear coasts

SATELLITE RUNNERS
the lights on the stereo the long way home the things that we fight about seem pointless now from the schoolyard into the grave are we not afraid? we keep breathing or sinking if you want a fight then you throw the first punch
and I’ll send satellites down to your blanket life floating just beyond the constellations and I’ll send satellites down to your wasted life come on you know where we are
we’re not afraid of anything or anyone are we not afraid of anything? or anyone? are we not afraid?
and if the planets don’t collide then we’re lucky to be alive and from the schoolyard into the grave are we not afraid? and if you never see me again then you know just where I am I’m breathing or sinking
I’m sinking again you’re sinking again
and I’ll send satellites down to your blanket life floating just beyond the constellation and I’ll send satellites down to your wasted life come on you know where we are
and you wanted more than they know and you wanted more than they show and you wanted more than they know

A BILLION LEAVES
I can’t erase your magnetic mind you can’t take back the things that you said the things that you did points on a grid you’re just a phantom, a ghost you’re just someone I used to know I used to notice
you’re running away I wanted to tell you you keep it down while you’re more than your words you wanted a change I wanted to show you I’ll keep it down now you’re more than your worth
I wanted a run-through before I left the atmosphere we’re just set up to lose it’s overtaking you and we cash out tonight, alright
I’ll go down with you we’re going down now
you’re running away I wanted to tell you you keep it down while you’re more than your words you wanted a change I wanted to show you I’ll keep it down now you’re more than your worth
 we can’t control it
11.
BENDING NEGATIVE   I’m not afraid of the photographs the pushpin portraits embellish the past "you’re washed out," you said "you’re watered down. you water everything down"
we take offense as our first defense the divine hand hands out happenstance we’re throwing shade at this bright expanse I know you know this song and dance
you’re still upset your silhouette’s inside out outside the lines, you’re still inside you’re still upset your silhouette’s inside out outside the lines, you’re still inside
any pro can con us all with a promise big or small and the halogens come crashing in dissolving our resolve we’re out of phase in the almanacs disrupt the future to distort the past conceal your fortune in the parallax this light refracts you might come back upside down
you’re still upset your silhouette’s inside out outside the lines, you’re still inside this light refracts you might come back you’re still upset your silhouette’s inside out outside the lines, you’re still inside this light refracts you might come back upside down
pinch yourself to approach empathy now waste your dreams on all your enemies
and this compromise intensifies we’re shifting shapes as we atomize and losing focus in magnetic eyes we saddle up and rattle off a lot of little lies

about

"...brings a high quality style of indie rock that is gritty, passionate and forward moving." - The Fire Note

"Oh Condor plays a hard to pin down form of alt rock that occupies that nebulous space between subgenres; Adroitly flitting between math rock, shoegaze, and straight ahead college rock with impressive ease. One moment they’re recalling the pummeling math rock of Chavez, the next they’re channeling the bouncing power pop of Superchunk. The end result often lands them somewhere in the neighborhood of The Dismemberment Plan’s riff-heavy, boundary-pushing indie/emo. But where lesser bands might stumble into disjointed cacophony, Oh Condor manages a masterful cohesion. Before it fractured off into a thousand microgenres and distinct lifestyle brands, college rock was a convenient catchall for bands playing music that fell outside the confines of the mainstream purview, and Oh Condor evokes that enviable, long gone simplicity." - GREY GORDON
